Sweet potatoes are nothing new. They used to make an appearance once a year during Thanksgiving in the form of a pie or covered in roasted marshmallows.
Steakhouses serve them as a “side” covered in sugar and cinnamon. That’s one way to get the kids to eat their veggies.
What most consider dessert I’m here to tell you can be a tasty low carb side. Sweet potatoes are everywhere and there is so much you can do with them!
These are a few of my favorite recipes none of which include pies or sugar.
*Tip: If you’re in a hurry poke some holes in a potato, pop it in the microwave for 12 minutes and boom! Instant baked sweet potato.
